1986 IROC named PROROC. I sold the car to myself new in 85 and began the prostreet it in 1989. In 1990 the car was complete back half and retain all interior including $5k worth on stereo, cellphone and alarm. Winner of the peoples choice award for best burnout at Pigeon Fordge TN. that fall at the Grand Run Car Show. The follwing year
installed the first of blown alcohol engine and ran 8.99 on slicks at
Richmond, Va. with completely stock body just back half chassie. The
quarters were not modified. Ran a 28" tire. The car weight was 3700lb. The following year 1992 full tube the chassie but still all metal body execept the hood. That is the way it is today. Still has all the glass and windows work the dash gauges work including the stock fuel gauge. Made a special tank just for the car- 12gallon and uses the stock filler neck for the unleaded. The stock steering column and key buzzard still works and along with the dome and floor lights. Its now at 3400lb and has held the world record for DOT tires w/muffler 3 times and has won the first World Street Finals and PHR Shootout held by Super Chevy. Its best times are 8.32 at 175 mph and 5.32 at 138 in the 8th mile. We do not have the time to run alot any more but you my see it in 98 at a shootout or just a local track having fun this year.
