![]() ADVERTISE ON DRAG RACING UNDERGROUND
I own a 1977 Chevy Monte Carlo, I've put a big block Chevy in it recently and completely restored it. The engine is a 433 cid, 11:1 slugs, steel crank, all bottom end is balanced, .652 roller cam with roller rockers, gear drive, 2.18/1.88 valves sitting on slightly ported square port heads, TH400 with manual valve body, 4000 stall and a 4:10 gear. I estimated the motor to put out about 550-600 hp but....I ran the car at the track for the first time last year and it went 12.55 @ 106 mph, keeping in mind I only took two passes and the car was never tuned, never on a timing light, and I was inexperienced driver, and on top of all that the car weights about 5000lb so.... submitted by: Jerry Zmuda |
