Animal Jim
RACER PROFILE

"Animal" Jim Feurer was raising hell in the late eighties with his "Mammoth Mercury" '79 Zephyr that he affectionately named Zeke. Known for his wild showmanship, Animal clinched two UDRA world championships with this unique seven second ride.
The engine was a Ford Boss 429 with components (block, heads, intake) manufactured by the Ford SVO. It was bored and stroked to 675 cubic inches and assisted by an NOS fogger system that helped kick out about 1600 horses. Lenco 4 speed for the trans, chassis by Woody Mays of Chassis Craft and fat Goodyears with Centerline Wheels put the power to the pavement.

See "Animal" in all his splendor running old "Zeke" along with his various other cars on Drag Racing Underground's FROM ENGLAND TO ENGLISHTOWN and THE MOD SQUAD videotapes!
